Balearics Islands

The Balearic Islands are located in the glittering Western Mediterranean Sea where great weather prevails all year round. The islands are the perfect getaway during cold winter weather because the Balearic Islands are the direct contrast of what you are facing at home. Like many archipelagos, it is a cluster of big and small islands: Majorca, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera. Some other smaller islands are Es Conills 's Es Pardell, Santa Eularia, Plana, Florada and others, where you will have to book for an Balearic Islands accommodation.

Like the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands are also different from each other. In fact, all the big islands previously mentioned have a lovely personality of their own. It is also rich in the Spanish culture and traditions so you will see a completely different world here.

What to expect on the larger islands

majorcaMallorca, also known as Majorca, is the island that has a combination of everything like golden beaches, rising mountains and other interesting landscapes. This island is yours to explore on your vacation and get some outdoor exercise. This particular island has burial chambers and other traces of habitation from 6000 BC! It is home to many famous celebrities like dance artist/producer DJ Sammy, former football player Duncan Fergusan, painters like Miquel Barcelo and many more. The Spanish Royal family also spends their summer holidays in Marivent Palace built in Majorca. You too, spend your holidays in Majorca hotels! It is also considered the best island to shop from.

Ibiza, on the other hand, is very famous for its clubbing and parties. Even though Ibiza attracts many youths, it also attracts families for fun-filled family vacations. There are many historic sites in the island that were dubbed by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites such as "God's finger" in the Benirras Bay. The place has a rustic beauty that attracts tourists to explore the island on foot or through biking.

menorcaNext, we have the Formentera, an island renowned in Europe for its white clean beaches and crystal clear water. It is called the "last paradise on the Mediterranean" due the lack of urban development there. Lastly, we have the Menorca that is famous for its isolated beaches and coves. It also represents Spanish history because it has many prehistoric monuments. This island is the complete opposite of Ibiza and Majorca because it does not have a nightlife or many shopping places.

As you can see, each island is different and can provide a different kind of pleasure in its own way. You will love to visit these islands with your family or friends because they are the perfect place to either sit back and relax or go on adventures and explore the beautiful surroundings offered to you.
