So let's focus on the attractions in the city, besides the Alicante weather and the Costa Blanca of course!

Alicante itself has a historical city centre you can explore, starting from the Rambla de Alicante working your way through the streets decorated with palm trees. The old quarter of Alicante is very stunning to wander around in; there are a lot of traditional bars and pubs hidden in the small and winding streets.

The squares in Alicante are also wonderful to see, so remember to visit the Plaza de Quijano and the Plaza de la Santisima Faz. There is also a museum, the Nativity Scene Museum Alicante, where you can see and observe Christmas themed objects from all over the world.

Situated in an height of 166 m, the medieval Santa Barbara Castle in the Mediterranean region gives you an impressing view over the City of Lights. In the castle itself you can see different rooms and halls, each of them has its own history to tell.

Of course you should not miss Alicante parks during your holidays in Spain! There are a lot of gardens and parks in Alicante, offering you shelter and recreation from an adventurous day. The most famous parks include the Canalejas near the Explanada de España and the Palmeral Park close to the Castle of Santa Barbara, Alicante.

For fun family holidays in Alicante, you should see the wonderful Alicante beaches, which with the lovely Alicante weather and climate offer you a unforgettable experience. Because the city is directly located at the Costa Blanca, you don't have to search too long for the white sand beaches in the city.

The most known beach is probably El Postiguet, directly in the city with a Blue Flag status. You can benefit from numerous water sports and activities here and of course just enjoying the sun shining in Alicante.
