The Dali Museum in Figueres
Figueres is irrevocably linked with the famous and eccentric artist Salvador Dali. In his lifetime, Dali orders to build a building which seems outside just as abstractly as inside. Many visitors come to Figueres only because of the Dali museum.
Arrival/ information
If you like to arrive by train, you can reach the city center by simply following the "Dali Museum" signs. The bus station is above the train station, at the top of the "Plaza Estació". For those, who would like to arrive by car, an underground parking is available at "Plaza Catalunya". A tourist information booth is just outside the bus station. The booth opened from July to September from 09:30 am to 01:00 pm and from 04:00 pm to 07:00 pm. The main tourism information is situated at "Plaza del Sol" and opened in July and August from 09:00 am to 09:00 pm and the rest of year from Monday to Saturday from 09:30 am to 01:00 pm and from 04:00 pm to 07:00 pm.

The Dali Museum
The Theatre- Museum Dali opened from July to September from 09:00 am to 19:45 pm and from October to June, from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 am to 17:45 pm. The Dali museum is the most visited museum in Spain after the Prado and the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao. In 1904 Dali was born in Figueres and gave his first exhibition here in Figueres when he was just 14 years old. In 1974, Dali reconditioned the town's old theatre and remodeled it to the well- known Theater- Museum.
