Las Ramblas : an open Theater

One of the most famous places in Barcelona is the main street going from the Diagonal to the sea. Yes, you have probably already heard something about it: Las Ramblas.

When I arrived in Barcelona a few months ago, I didn't realize how amazing and animated this place was. The first time I went to this street I was like a little kid, eyes wide opened. There are a lot of bars, restaurants, shops all along the street and they are open from Monday to Sunday on 1.2 kilometers. It's a very lively place, always full with people from many origins. It is one of the examples illustrating the fact that Barcelona is the city which never sleeps. It's not just a rumor, it is true!

Another big particularity of this main street is the living statues and artists in the place. All along the street, a lot of actors are playing living statues roles. They are really similar to real statues; they seem to come from another world. You should really take the time to watch them, they are impressive! They stand there all the year and are escorted with actors, dancers, jugglers...

These people transform Las Ramblas to one of the sights that cannot be forgotten. You will be taken by the magical of the place. But don't be too hypnotized by the extravaganza, because as it happens in many big towns, thieves are always here.
