Cap de Creus in Costa Brava

365168281_5c0831f602.jpgThe Cap de Creus is a national park and it was declared as a nature reserve in 1998. It is located at the Costa Brava as an outlet of the Pyrenees, so at the border between France and Spain. It is the only one in Spain that covers sea and land at the same time. If you spend holidays in Costa Brava, you should definitely visit it. If you stay in a Costa Brava hotel in Roses, like the hotel Maritim, you can easily make a day trip to the Cap de Creus. The legend says that the region was made by Hercules.
The nature of the park is really worth seeing. There are the mountains and the rocky coast with small bays. Moreover, the landscape has its unique flora and fauna, which is the home of many different birds and other animals which are in danger of extinction. The area is environmental protected and fishing is only sometimes allowed. Therefore, there is not much pollution and the underwater world is fascinating. Thus, diving there is really an activity to enjoy. There is a lighthouse with a restaurant where you can make a rest.
