Sitges - perfect holidays at the coast
The small city Sitges is located directly at the coast and is approximately 35 kilometers southwest of Barcelona. It is famous for its film festivals and the carnival. Furthermore, it has beautiful beaches but also a historic core. As there is also a brilliant nightlife, with nice restaurants, bars and discos, it is perfect for spending holidays there. Many Sitges hotels are available which make a stay really comfortable. The city has only about 25,000 inhabitants but therefore it kept its unique flair. Some parts of the city were renewed and thus the wonderful contrast between historic and new buildings can be seen.
As it is located at the Mediterranean Sea but also next to the mountains and the natural park Garraf, it became a famous tourist city. Also the proximity to one of the Catalonia airports (Barcelona) is crucial for its famousness. There are attractions for everybody, so it is a perfect destination for enjoying beach holidays with the whole family or even with a group of friends.
