Figueres - Tracing Dalís Trails
Dalí was born in Figueres and spent the most part of his life in a small town not to far away from his birth town, also in Spain. If you would like to follow his trails, visiting Figueres would be a great way to start. After the town was long a ruin due to the civil war in the first third of the 20th, upon Dalí being world-famous, the city opened the Dalí Museum that disposes of a variety of well-known art work of this unique surrealist artist. You may get to the Dalí Museum Figueres by train from Barcelona, which will take you about two hours. If you are planning to tour the Costa Brava on Dalís trails, you may want to look for a charming Figueres Hotel and then continue to the coast and stay in a Cadaqués Hotel. Cadaqués and Port Lligat, which is a 20 minute walk from Cadaqués both are home of various Dalí creations as well as his countryide mansion.
It's definitely worth a visit!
