Lloret de Mar - Carneval 2008

The event calendar for these days is packed. Kids get to enjoy the carnival parades, adults can go to the carnival dance and every one gets to dress up. Also, on the day after mardi gras you can witness the burning of Carnestoltes and the Enterrament de la Sardina. This Catalonian tradition takes place at the end of the carnival festivities. It starts out with burying sardines and then the "Carnestoltes" a huge wooden figure will be burnt along with Catalan chants being sung. You will also see a lot of dancing and singing during the whole period. Little presents will be handed out to all that play along and dress up for the carnival parade. Cap de Creus National Park at Costa Brava - The 10th Anniversary

Costa Brava - Scuba Diving Paradise
