Calella is often referred to young people having party. But it is even more. Located in the northeast of Spain in Catalonia, it is just 56 km away from Barcelona. If you want to spend your holidays in Calella, you will surely find an accommodation near the beach with a beautiful view over the sea. Though there are many tourists and hotels in Calella, the town has a beautiful old town that can be visited. There you will dive into the typical Catalan life and visit for example the "Plaça de la Constitució" (span. Plaza de la Constitución) or "Plaça de l'Església" (span. Plaza de la Iglesia). Furthermore Calella offers a beach to his visitors which has a length of 3.5 km. Everywhere you will find small bays where you can cool down and swim in the sea or only relax and enjoy yourself. In the evening you can walk along the promenade and have a typical Catalan dinner in one of the numerous restaurants. As Calella is only 56 km away from Barcelona, you can easily have a day trip to this metropolis or even spend a few days in an apartment in Barcelona and enjoy this fascinating city. Near Calella there is also mountain range that is called "Serra de Montnegre", which is ideal to spend one day in the nature and hike through the beautiful nature reserve.
